How does CFIT keep its tuition so low?
CFIT doesn’t need to benefit shareholders. Our students are our main concern. We also try to keep our operating costs low. And even though we have a small campus in Winter Park, Florida, our main presence is online, therefore we don’t need to maintain expensive classroom buildings, a campus, and other non-academic programs.

Central Florida Institute of Technology has not raised tuition rates since 2010. In fact, our tuition cost has since dropped, demonstrating our commitment to keeping tuition low and maximizing the value and affordability of all of our programs.
The costs you incur now will be returned to you many times over time. Please note: These tuition costs represent the maximum estimated cost.
The current cost of tuition is $53.62 for the first three credits earned. Student will pay only pay $107.23 per credit hour for the remainder of courses..
1 semester hour = 45 clock hour (3 multiply by 45 = 135 clock-hour equivalents). Our tuition is competitively set to $107.23 per semester hour ($2.20 per clock hour).
All tuition and fees are assessed on a per credit hour basis despite the location of the course and the level of the course and includes a $15 per credit hour fee for every international student.

Admission Application Fee
A $25.00 application fee is required for the review of all application forms submitted to the Academy in consideration for admission. This fee is non-refundable.
A $50.00 non-refundable collection fee is charged to all accounts submitted to a collection agency.
Dishonored Check Fee
A $50.00 non-refundable fee is charged for any check that is returned/dishonored to CFIT.
Identification Card Fee
All students, faculty, and staff receive a free Central Florida Institute of Technology identification card. A $25.00 non-refundable fee is charged for replacement of lost or stolen cards.
Late Payment Due Date Fee
A $100.00 non-refundable fee is charged for payments submitted later than the initial due date posted on the school’s website for each term. Partial payments will incur this fee also, as full payment is due.
Late Payment Monthly Fee
A $55.00 non-refundable fee is charged for payments submitted late on the tuition payment plans and all accounts not enrolled in a tuition payment plan.
Non-Matriculated Student Fee
A $50.00 non-refundable fee is charged to all non-matriculated students each term.
Payment Plan Fee
A $10.00 non-refundable service fee added to the first payment for the plan.
Re-Registration/ Reinstatement Fee
A $50.00 non-refundable fee is charged to all students who re-register and/or are reinstated as a result of having their enrollment, registration and/or pre-registration cancelled and/or dropped for non-payment.
Transcript Request Fee
The first official copy of the student’s transcript is free. Thereafter, they are $10 each. Transcripts are prepared by the Office of Student Records and Registration in accordance with the policies of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars. Disclosure of information contained in students’ official transcripts may only be made in accordance with the provisions of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).

U.S. Military Members and Veterans Savings
- Save 15% on tuition over the lifetime of your program if you are an active-duty member of the military, a veteran of the U.S. armed forces, or an employee of the Veteran’s Administration.
Government Tuition Assistance Program
- Save 10% on tuition over the lifetime of your program if you are a federal, state, and local government employees.
- Save 10% on all tuition over the lifetime of your program if you are a graduate of one of our programs in the United States.
- Save 25% on tuition over the lifetime of your program if you are the spouse, parent, or child of an enrolled Central Florida Institute of Technology student.
