Dr. Robert Shepherd is a graduate of the School of Business and Technology at Capella University where he earned his Ph.D. in Organizational Management and Leadership. His research interests center around the study of organizational behavior, the influence of internal and external organization culture on employee motivation and organizational productivity, leadership development and personality assessment. The original research he accomplished for his graduate school requirement focused on the effects federally mandated furloughs have on the organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior of federal civil service employees. Dr. Shepherd also holds a master’s degree in the science of management from Troy University and a bachelor’s of arts degree in social science from the University of West Florida where he specialized in education, environmental studies, and geography. His work background includes maintenance concept, theory, and practice of airfield systems used in the Department of Defense and the Federal Aviation Administration.
